Terms & Conditions — Liability Release Waiver

In consideration of my participation in the Grief Ritual on May 9th, 2026, I, the undersigned, acknowledge and agree to the following:

Assumption of Risk I am aware that participation in the Grief Ritual carries inherent risks to my physical well-being, including but not limited to injury from walking or falling on a public beach, and exposure to communicable illnesses such as Influenza, MRSA, or COVID-19, which may result in serious injury, paralysis, or death.

Health Attestation I confirm that, within the last 10 days:

  • I have not experienced symptoms including fever, fatigue, difficulty breathing, dry cough, or any other symptoms associated with COVID-19 or any communicable disease.

  • Neither I nor any member of my household has visited an area within the United States reported to be highly affected by COVID-19.

  • Neither I nor any member of my household has been diagnosed with or tested positive for COVID-19.

Release of Liability With full knowledge of the risks involved, I hereby release, waive, and discharge Amy Hyun Swart, Felicia Tripp, and all their assistants, representatives, successors, and assigns from any and all liabilities, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action — whether direct or indirect — arising from any loss, damage, injury, or death sustained by me in connection with my participation in this event, including unintentional exposure to COVID-19 or any other harm occurring on or around the premises.

Indemnification I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Organization from and against any and all costs, expenses, damages, lawsuits, and/or liabilities arising directly or indirectly from claims made by or against any released party due to injury, loss, or death related to participation in this event.

Acknowledgment By signing below, I confirm that:

  • I have read and understood this Liability Release Waiver in full.

  • I am at least eighteen (18) years of age and fully competent to provide consent.

  • I have been adequately informed of the risks involved.

  • I am signing this waiver voluntarily, of my own free will, without inducement or misrepresentation, with full intention to be bound by its terms.

This waiver shall remain in effect through August 2026.
